Penelope Cruz Likeness

My first likeness attempt - Actress: Penelope Cruz ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pen%C3%A9lope_Cruz )

This project was anything but easy for me. I started out by just trying to improve my female or more "feminine" looking face sculpting / anatomy, and ended up referencing so many various celebrities, that I decided to actually give a likeness a try.

This was extremely challenging all-around, but the most difficult parts were definitely the hair, the mouth and the area around the eye's / eyelids.

I thought that I captured her likeness and did pretty well, then I typed "likeness" into the Art Station search bar. My jaw hit the floor from some of the sculpts that people do. It was then I realize I still have ALOT of room for improvement.

That said, I feel like it's a great 1st try, and this has opened a door and helped me improve my sculpting / textures by miles. I honestly didn't think that I would get something I deemed worthy of a portfolio piece on my first likeness attempt.

I want to extend a huge 'thank you!' to the following people that were a huge help with this personal project of mine:

Jaelyn Peacock - https://peacock3d.artstation.com/ - For getting me started on this project by suggesting several tutorials, and all of the encouragement along the way!
Kaz Adams - https://syncrasis.artstation.com - for encouragement throughout the entire project / advice to improve various parts of the sculpt and especially for the lighting advice after I showed her a picture of what looked like a half lit potato!
Pablo Munoz Gomez - https://pablander.artstation.com - For so much of the advice, knowledge, feedback, and quality assets that he provides through his community on Discord and the Z-brush Guides Store. ----> (Link: https://www.zbrushguides.com/ ) ----- I HIGHLY recommend checking this site out! There are a ton of amazing, (both free and payed) very useful assets (Brushes / Alphas / Models, etc..) , as well as many tutorials and workshops!
Nikita Leshakov - https://www.artstation.com/artarrwen - For all the technical know-how / answers to many questions I've asked over the years (way before this project, even!) :-)

Again, all of the assets that I've shown above such as the multi-eye shader and the multi-eye tool can be found at the above link! All Credit to Pablo Munoz Gomez for those! :-)

this is just an example of the Multi-Eye Z-tool that I used for quick color / size iteration, then sculpted and colored her eyes on a separate mesh for practice.
